Raptor Saturday

July 3 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The ability to fly has long inspired those of us on the ground. Join our resident birds to learn not only about the mechanics of flight, but how flight varies between groups of birds such as owls, falcons, hawks, and vultures. We will examine different wing shapes, flying patterns, and the physics behind flight to learn about how raptors use their ability to fly to excel in their wild habitats.

Scheduled to appear: Valkyrie (Bald Eagle), Nicco (Broad-winged Hawk), Tallulah(Turkey Vulture).

This program will take place entirely outdoors at the Amphitheater – please plan your arrival time accordingly. Seating will allow for social distancing but for the health and safety of all, participants must have a mask on their person for whenever distancing is impossible. Please do not attend if you are sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus. See our latest COVID-19 updates here.

Because this program is weather dependent, we may need to cancel due to inclement weather.

Free with membership or admission.
