Apple Picking at Peck & Bushel Farm
When you read the Fahey family’s journey to owning an organic apple farm you can’t help but feel admiration for their tenacity and faith. Peck & Bushel is a family-owned organic apple farm and store. It’s what you’d expect in a scene from a Hallmark movie where happy people are milling about a white barn sipping on fresh apple cider surrounded by cute country decor. They have a walk-up counter where they donuts, pies, cakes, cider, and honey. Outside there are tables and chairs and acres of perfectly delicious apples and environmentally friendly farming going on. The you-pick season runs from mid-August through October. A friend wisely told me to plan around a Packers game (if you’re ok with missing a Packers game) because the orchard is less crowded on game days and they are less likely to sell out of their famous apple donuts.

Fruit Picking at Barthel Farm offers a large selection of fresh, homegrown produce like apples, pears, gourds, pumpkins, a 12′ high corn maze and more! Check the farm’s website for updates on crops.
