Baked Cranberry Sauce* Tried & True | Milwaukee North Shore Moms

My family has been making this cranberry sauce recipe for as long as I can remember. By baking the cranberries, they get this jammy texture while still retaining their shape. Yes, it’s a lot of sugar but it’s delicious and we look forward to this special treat during the holidays. Each year, we bottle it up and deliver it to neighbors and friends. It’s easily scaleable and will stay good in the freezer for a year!

1 lb fresh cranberries
2 cups white granulated sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp all spice
1/3 cup Grand Marnier

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Wash and drain berries. Spread the berries in a 9×12 pan. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and spices and spread over the cranberries. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and when cool enough to transfer, using a large spatula, transfer the berries and juices into a bowl. Add the Grand Marnier and stir.
